Executive Assistant FBI director Jill Sanborn was asked if any FBI agents committed crimes on Jan 6th. She replied… “I can’t answer that”.

There was a very telling exchange today as Senator Ted Cruz grilled Jill Sanborn, Executive Assistant Director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation on the events of January 6th.

Cruz specifically asked Sanborn about FBI agents and confidential informants and their involvement in the events on that day.

Her answers are rather telling, or should we say, her lack of answers were rather telling.

Below is a sampling of the questions and replies by Sanborn.

Cruz: How many FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the events of January 6th?

Sanborn: Sir, I’m sure you can appreciate I can’t go into the specifics of sources of methods.

Cruz: Did any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participate in the events of January 6th?

Sanborn: Sir, I can’t answer that.

Cruz: Did any FBI agents or confidential informants commit crimes of violence on January 6th?

Sanborn: I can’t answer that, sir.

Cruz: Did any FBI agents or FBI informants actively encourage and incite crimes of violence on January 6th?

Sanborn: Sir, I can’t answer that.

Senator Cruz then went on to explain the bizarre story of Ray Epps, something we have written about on this site. He asked whether or not Ray Epps instructed individuals to tear down barricades.

Cruz: Did Mr. Epps urge them to tear down the barricades?

Sanborn: Sir, similar to the other answers, I cannot answer that.

It’s worth watching the whole exchange below. As many commenters on social media have pointed out, the FBI is playing a game of “how to say yes, without actually saying yes”.
