Just as we saw in the lead-up to the 2016 election, the media is ramping up its efforts to create a dangerous racial divide in this country.
After two recent shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, the media immediately went into overdrive stoking racial division before the motives behind the shootings were even known.
But what we know now shows a much different picture, at least if you’ve been believing the media for the last 2 years. They would have you believe that every mass shooting is perpetrated by a white male, one whose racist beliefs were ignited by Donald Trump himself. But the facts simply don’t back up that claim. The Dayton shooter was politically motivated, but he was a supporter of the far-left group Antifa and supported Elizabeth Warren for president.
But did the media pin that shooting on Warren or Antifa? Of course not, that’s because accusations of political extremism and racism is a one way street according to the media. And all roads must lead to Trump.
It’s really sad and it’s a total repeat of what we saw leading into the 2016 election. The constant racial accusations against Trump and his supporters, all fueled by over $1 billion in spending by the DNC and Hillary Clinton. America has still not healed from her scorched-earth campaign that divided so many people and yet they’re already starting it up again, but this time so much worse.
You see, in 2016 Clinton and the media simply smeared people with the term “racist” or “xenophobe”. But that term is too ambiguous for the media’s liking in 2020. The term now that has replaced “racist” is “white supremacist”. You see it all over CNN and MSNBC suddenly. Democratic 2020 candidates are calling Trump and his supporters white supremacists instead of just racists. The goal being that racism is now only a one-way street according to the media and only white people can be racist. It’s a drastic escalation in tone by the media and Democrats, but it also shows the lengths they are willing to go. Demonizing an entire race of people simply for opposing their political views.
It’s funny, Trump isn’t some shadowy figure that came out of nowhere in 2016. He’s been in public life for almost 50 years. Never once in that time in the spotlight was there ever a serious allegation or even a mention of racism. But then 2016 happened and suddenly Trump is being compared to Hitler on a daily basis by cable news pundits and Democrats alike.
Nothing like this has ever happened before in American politics. A smear campaign of this magnitude is completely unprecedented. But sadly, if what we saw over these last few days is any indication, 2020 is shaping up to be even worse.
